Q: When you step out of your USUAL genre what do you like to read? Best books in that genre?

A: I usually read Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy and Erotica but when I pick up something different, I like to read mystery/adventure with an archaeological theme to them.  My favorite authors for that are Steve Berry and Clive Cussler.  

Also David Baldacci writes fantastic mysteries that deal with politics and conspiracy theories. Daniel Silva has a series with an art restorer/spy that is really awesome.  My hubs just called me a nerd for that one but I have an art background and it appeals to me. ;)

Q: What hyped up book do you think was not worth all the talk?

A:  

I know a lot of people have read and loved the Dark Days series by Jocelyn Drake but it's just not for me.  I forced myself to read the first 2 but had to DNF the 3rd one, Dawnbreaker.  I just couldn't get into it!

Another somewhat popular series I read based on a favorite bloggers rec is Three Days to Dead by Kelly Meding.  I couldn't finish this 1 either.  Too dark I guess.  I don't know.  It was a unique concept!

Q: Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?

A:  I would have to say the Southern Vampire Mysteries (or Sookie Stackhouse books) by Charlaine Harris.  I just feel like the covers are awful.  They are too child like in my opinion but I loved the series for the most part.  I haven't read the last two though. :(

Q: Christmas in July! Someone gives you a gift card for two books (whatever that costs). What two books will you buy?

A:  Ooooh... I like this one.  There is always room for new books!  At least there is now that I buy e-books! ;)

A must have for me would be a pre-order for Just Breathe by Kendal Grey.  This series is quite the adventure and has a swoonworthy rockstar by the name of Gavin.  Oh yeah, I've fallen for this one! ;)

My other must have is The Ripple Effect by JA Saare.  I love this series and can't wait to see what happens in this next installment due out July 31st!!!

Q: Birthday Wishes — Blow out the candles and imagine what character could pop out of your cake…who is it and what book are they from?

Oh boy how I would love Dex from the Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle to jump out and serenade me.  His voice melts butter and he has dance moves to boot.  Boy howdy what a birthday surprise that would be!

Q: Happy Father’s Day! Who is your favorite dad character in a book and why?

I hope this counts...  I would have to say Tohr from the Black Dagger Brotherhood.  I'm a bad fangirl and still haven't read his book but he was just so sweet and protective of JM until Wellsie died and his world was turned upside down.  But he was there for him, even if it was sometimes with silence, waiting for JM to approach him.  Not only did JM lose Wellsie, but he lost the only father figure he's ever had.  Boy, sounds like I need to catch up on the last two books to see what progress Tohr made.

Q. You are a matchmaker — your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?

Oh this one was difficult but I finally decided on Ian from Night Huntress and Night Huntress World paired with  Charley Davidson.  They both are snarky as hell and I would LOVE to know what Ian would say about Danger and Will Robinson!  I kinda also want to know what names he's picked out for his bits and pieces!  I think it would go splendid for a very short amount of time.  LOL.  Besides, Charley shouldn't leave Reyes permanently but I could definitely picture a hysterical meeting of the minds, and lips, and other things with Ian!

Q: Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?

Hmmm...  I would have to say a tropical locale like Zihuatanejo in Mexico.  It's a beautiful place that I have only been to once but want to go back to badly!  

 Isn't it just so quaint and peaceful?  Oh yeah, a hammock in the jungle facing the ocean would be bliss!
