Grif's thoughts on Kit:
But it was physiology that was really at fault. Even the big girls were easy to put down. Craig wasn’t big or small, but right in the middle where a woman should be. She was like that roller coaster he’d loved at Coney Island as a kid, made up of long slopes and wide curves, built for thrills. Something wild, he thought, but also something that made a man just want to let go.

Kit's thoughts on Grif:
Instead she kept catching herself gazing over at him, specifically at his full bottom lip when he spoke, his voice lodged deeply in his throat, as if only escaping reluctantly to take flight in the air. He was not a man overly fond of chitchat. Yet she liked it when he did speak. His voice was like gravel rolling around inside a buckskin pouch, and well-suited to his languid watchfulness, the half-lidded gaze, the wide-legged slump. He was like a lion in repose, his strength quiet and coiled until it was needed.
So yeah, I'm loving this so far.  I love the description of Grif.  But also, he's an angel with a pompadour.  How awesome is that?!  Kit and all her fabulous hairdo's are right up my alley too.  But more-so than the rockabilly lifestyle mentioned, this has a great and intriguing plot.
